Touch screen flip laptops are a new type of laptop that lets you use the screen instead of the keyboard. These 2-in-1 devices are generally thinner, lighter, and more convenient to use. They allow for faster application navigation and enable easy photo editing and drawing on the screen. Some models can also be used as a tablet.
Asus VivoBook Flip 14
The ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 J401 is one of the slimmest 14-inch models in the ASUS VivoBook Flip range. It has an ASUS NanoEdge ultra-narrow display bezel, which enables it to fit into a chassis that is comparable to a 13-inch laptop. It is powered by an Intel Quad Core processor, providing excellent performance for day-to-day multitasking.
The VivoBook Flip 14 is a 14-inch touch-screen laptop that boasts an ultra-thin bezel, measuring just eight millimeters. This ensures a high screen-to-body ratio of 78.7% and greater sensitivity. The laptop also has a 2.7-GHz Intel Core i7-7500U dual-core processor and 8GB of RAM.
HP Elite Dragonfly
Whether you’re at the office or on the go, the HP Elite Dragonfly touch screen flip laptop is a brilliant way to stay connected. It offers an outstanding display, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, and AI-driven audio to enhance your experience. Its x360 design gives you mobility that exceeds expectations, and it’s exquisitely crafted.
HP Dragonfly comes with Windows 10 Pro and HP utilities, and there’s no nagware. However, the computer has a few annoying software bugs. One of these bugs caused my LTE modem to disappear from the network settings, and the brightness control would sometimes stay stuck at 100 percent. However, both issues could easily be resolved by rebooting.
The chassis of the HP Elite Dragonfly touch screen flip laptop is made of a magnesium alloy, which gives it a lightweight, durable design. It also has an oleophobic coating that makes it fingerprint resistant and spill-resistant.
Dell XPS 15
The Dell XPS 15 touch screen flip laptop offers an excellent combination of design and performance, making it one of the best touchscreen laptops on the market today. It has a big glass touchpad that is one of the best on Windows laptops, and it responds well to Windows gestures. Its left and right key buttons are located under the glass touch bar, which makes them easy to access. The trackpad is also very responsive, and it doesn’t suffer from any palm rejection or fake click issues.
The Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 has a sleek, modern design that resembles the XPS 13 2-in-1. Its carbon fibre keyboard rest and anodised aluminium lid are both stylish and durable. Its hinges are also made of aluminium, which allow it to rotate 360 degrees. It also features a rear vent that resembles a reverse air scoop and expels heat.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon
If you are looking for a touch screen flip laptop that’s not too heavy and bulky, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon is an excellent option. The X1 Carbon’s sleek design combines a traditional laptop design with an angular black appearance. It also features one storage and one RAM slot, which means it’s the thinnest business laptop on the market.
The X1 Carbon was originally released before Windows 8, but it was upgraded last year to run the operating system. The company also added a touch screen to the model, which is necessary to use Windows 8, but adds to the thickness of the lid. Other than the touch screen, this model is similar to the one I reviewed last year.
